UCU Retired Members & Friends Walk
Monday 3rd February 2014
It is back to the River Lea for this one.
The walk is sightly longer than others of late
but I think still very manageable - maybe 5 miles or so.
We join the Lea at Stoke Newington, close to the finish of
our Coppermill Lane adventure.
From there we strut our stuff in a southerly direction,
grooving our way through an area well used by pre-neolithic people, to the
confluence of the Lea with the Thames.
Meet at Stoke Newington overland rail station
(Reachable by many buses, including the 106
which links with the Victoria line at Finsbury Park.
An overland train leaves Liverpool Street at 11.45
to arrive Stoke Newington 11.58)
Gather to begin the walk at 12.00 noon.
Note: in view of recent weather conditions, confirmation or otherwise will be
sent to all branch members shortly before the day of the walk.
